Mrs. Wright Named 2023 Teacher of the Year

Second-grade teacher Mary Wright was named Blessed Sacrament Catholic School’s 2023 Teacher of the Year at the school’s Christmas Sing-along on Dec. 20. A 2001 graduate of BSS and an alumna of St. Vincent’s Academy, Mrs. Wright earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Georgia Southern University. Mrs. Wright has been teaching for more than 14 years, joining the BSS faculty in 2018.

“By doing what you love, you inspire and awaken the hearts of others,” says Mrs. Wright.Mrs. Wright will be formally recognized as Teacher of the Year during festivities for Catholic Schools Week, January 28 – February 3, 2024.
