We offer a myriad of volunteer opportunities for parents and grandparents each year. To get involved, all families of Blessed Sacrament School Savannah are encouraged to submit a Willingness to Serve Form. Volunteer Requirements
Your participation in our children’s lives makes a substantial difference. To ensure a safe and nurturing environment for our students, all volunteers must complete a background check, attend VIRTUS training, and sign the Diocesan Code of Conduct for Those Working with Minors.
VIRTUS Training
VIRTUS training is crucial for safeguarding our children and volunteers. It details appropriate behavior when interacting with children and is mandatory for all parents wishing to volunteer at Blessed Sacrament Catholic School. Whether you’re serving as a room parent, assisting with sports or clubs, chaperoning field trips, or helping at school events, VIRTUS training is essential.
Registering for VIRTUS Training Sessions
To register for a VIRTUS training session, please visit www.virtus.org, click on “First Time Registrant,” and select Savannah, GA (Diocese) from the dropdown menu. This will allow you to view and register for upcoming VIRTUS sessions in our area. Please follow the provided directions to secure your registration, as seating is limited in each session.
