At Blessed Sacrament we are committed to providing a safe environment and to protecting our children. All volunteers must complete a background check, attend VIRTUS training, and sign the Diocesan Code of Conduct for Those Working with Minors.
The next VIRTUS Training at Blessed Sacrament is scheduled for Nov.14th 5:30 p.m. in the Lecture Hall.
What is VIRTUS?
VIRTUS training outlines appropriate behavior when dealing with children, and is for the protection of both the adult volunteer and our students. VIRTUS training is required for all parents who wish to volunteer at Blessed Sacrament Catholic School. Examples of volunteering include: serving as a room parent; working a concession stand; assisting with a sport or club; chaperoning a field trip or dance; and working at school events. If you plan to volunteer at BSS, you are required to attend a VIRTUS training session.
