So much has happened at Blessed Sacrament this week it’s hard to recap all of the events and all of the excitement! Yesterday we hosted our annual 8th grade vs. faculty basketball game. This time honored tradition is a major highlight of the year for our 8th-Graders. The teachers gave it a good try, but the students were just too much to handle. STUDENT WIN by pulling it out in overtime 45-43. So much excitement!

We also participated in Jump Rope for Heart! Each class had assigned times heading over to Daffin Park to pair up with their buddy class. Everyone put in their best efforts in jumping for the cause. Our older kids did a great job of helping their littles jump! Everyone had a great time! A big thanks to Mr. Dixon for organizing this event!

Students also participated in a virtual spelling bee with students from around our Deanery! Congratulations to all our students who participated and a special shoutout to I. Nowell for being a finalist.

Today, students enjoyed watching a student favorite: Minute to Win It competition. Miss Allsteadt and C. Louis went hand to hand in playing glove up. In the end students win again! C. Louis won with getting 6 gloves on in a minute.
Unfortunately we missed a few treasured traditions such as Grandparents’ & Special Friends Day and the much loved student variety show, but that did not deter the enthusiasm and joy of this week.

From open house visits to drop-in visitors, Bishop Parkes and School Superintendent Michelle Kroll, to Minute-to-Win-It challenges, Faculty vs. 8th Grade basketball, special lunches, teacher appreciation moments, Fr. David’s pie face, and closing ceremonies including the much anticipated Teacher’s Act…it was a GREAT WEEK from start to finish! THANK YOU to everyone who worked so hard to make this COVID-friendly CSW2021 happen! GO IRISH! #believeinit
