Yesterday we ended our last week of distance learning! Ms. Whitney and her 6th grade science class explored renewable and nonrenewable resources last week. On Wednesday, students built a shoe box solar cooker with a shoe box, foil, tape, and plastic wrap. On Friday, they used their solar cookers to make s’mores! A. Grayson (6G) had a very successful experiment as her solar cooker reached 115 degrees Fahrenheit (maybe even hotter as it was the first day this week we had full sun)! What a tasty way to end Earth Science! Thanks Ms. Whitney!
