Upcoming Events-Blessed Sacrament Parish and School

Please join us for the following events during the month of October:

October 3: Franciscan Prayer Service with Bishop Hartmayer. Service will begin at 7:00PM. Your are also invited to bring either a stipend or food offering for those served at The Social Apostolate. (Sponsored by our Parish Social Ministry Team)

October 7:  Third Annual Living Roasary sponsored by our Fifth Grade Students and Saints' Children's Choir. The service will begin at 7:00PM.

October 11: Miracle and Healing Service led by the Alleluia Community Healing/Miracle Team of Augusta, GA. The service will be held from 7:00PM-10:00PM. For more information please go to www.yeslord.com.

October 13: Blessing of the Pets at 1:30PM in the church parking lot. Every pet should be either on a strong leash, in a cage or carrier. Each pet will receive a medal of St. Francis which will be affixed to their collar or cage.

Coffee and Conversations with Kathleen Goodman

Join Kathleen Goodman, Interim Counselor, for a series of workshops designed to help your child to have a successful year.  Come to all sessions or pick and choose what works for you. Sessions are geared towards parents of students in 5th-8th grade. Topics are listed below:

October 3: Organization Basics and Time Management

October 10: Study Strategies and Note Taking

October 17: Stress Management and Goal Setting

October 24: Internet Safety with Mrs. Kaluzne

Oktoberfest at Blessed Sacrament School: Saturday, September 28th

 

 

 Blessed Sacrament School invites you to celebrate Oktoberfest on Sept. 28! Come enjoy food, rides and games as well as a genuine Oompah Band. It’s fun for the whole family!

Activities begin at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28 and will go until 10 p.m.The event will be held at the Blessed Sacrament campus at 1003 Victory Drive (44th Street and Chatham Crescent) and Theus Park (45th Street and Chatham Crescent). The event is open to the public.

Bratwurst dinners are $8 and kids hot dog dinners are $4. Beverages and baked goods are also available for purchase. Pretzels, funnel cakes, hot dogs and sodas will be for sale at Theus Park.

Rides include a rock climbing wall, a zip line, a human bowling alley, a dunk tank, a Moon Bounce, a giant slide, twin spin and Dixie cartwheel.

Innisbrook Fundraiser Ends Soon!

The Innisbrook fundraiser ends on September 11, 2013. This is a great fundraising opportunity for our school as BSS will get  to keep 40% of all orders.  Please help us reach our goal of $10,000 by sharing the catalog with co-workers, family and friends. There is something for everyone!

 

 

BSS Team Raises Money for Light the Night

In support of our September mission: The Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, BSS has formed at Light the Night Team. Please come out and join our team for Light the Night scheduled for Friday, Oct. 18th in Forsyth Park at 5:30PM. Please look for the Catholic Schools' tent. The actual walk will begin at 7:30PM (you do not have to pay a fee to register to walk).

Our Goal is to raise $5000.00! We are half way there with $2309.00 thanks to your generosity.
